Initial Setup
Initial Setup Once HalloweenBot has been added to your Discord server, you can configure and manage it through the HalloweenBot Dashboard. Dashboard URL: https://dash.halloweenbot.com Access the Dashboard 1. Visit the HalloweenBot Dashboard. 2. Sign in with your Discord account. 3. Select Servers from the navigation menu. The Servers page displays all Discord servers you have permission to manage. /assets/docs/halloweenbot/server-list.png Your server will appear if: - You are signed in with the correct Discord account. - You have the Manage Server permission. - Discord has successfully synced your server list. Verify HalloweenBot Is Installed Locate your server on the Servers page. If HalloweenBot is installed, you should see: - ✅ Bot Installed - ✅ Manage Button Select Manage to open your server configuration. If HalloweenBot has not yet been added, select Invite HalloweenBot and complete the Discord authorization process. You can also confirm installation by checking your Discord server member list. Open Server Settings After selecting Manage, you'll be taken to the server management page. ![Server Managementeenbot/bot-installed.png This is where you'll configure all available HalloweenBot features. Review Permissions HalloweenBot requires the appropriate Discord permissions to function correctly. Common permissions include: - View Channels - Send Messages - Embed Links - Attach Files - Read Message History - Manage Roles Some features may require additional permissions. HalloweenBot's role must be positioned above any Discord roles it needs to manage. If a feature is not functioning correctly, verify both channel permissions and role hierarchy. Configure Server Features Depending on your plan and available features, you may be able to configure: - Welcome Messages - Farewell Messages - Halloween Events - Countdown Messages - Custom Commands - Language Settings - Timezone Settings - Premium Features Open the relevant section within the dashboard and save your configuration when finished. Configure Language HalloweenBot supports multiple languages for supported bot messages and responses. To change your server language: 1. Open your server settings. 2. Navigate to Language Settings. 3. Select your preferred language. 4. Save your changes. For a complete list of supported languages, see the Language Settings guide. Configure Timezone Several HalloweenBot features depend on your server timezone, including: - Scheduled Events - Countdown Messages - Automated Announcements - Seasonal Features Ensure your timezone is set correctly so events occur at the expected local time. Configure Channels Many features require a channel to be selected before they can operate. Common examples include: - Welcome Channel - Farewell Channel - Announcement Channel - Event Channel - Countdown Channel Ensure HalloweenBot has permission to: - View the channel - Send messages - Embed links - Read message history Without these permissions, features may not function correctly. Configure Role Management If HalloweenBot needs to assign or remove roles, its role must be positioned above the target roles in Discord's role hierarchy. To check role positioning: Server Settings → Roles Move the HalloweenBot role above any roles it needs to manage. Discord prevents bots from modifying roles that are higher than their own role. Save Your Changes Always save your configuration before leaving a settings page. Changes are usually applied immediately, although some settings may take a few moments to update. If you do not see the update: 1. Refresh the dashboard. 2. Confirm the setting was saved successfully. 3. Try the feature again. Test Your Configuration After configuring a feature, verify that it works as expected. Checklist: - ✅ Bot can access configured channels - ✅ Messages send successfully - ✅ Embeds display correctly - ✅ Roles can be assigned or removed - ✅ Timezone-based features trigger correctly - ✅ Messages use the selected language If something isn't working, review the bot's permissions and your dashboard configuration. Server Not Appearing If your server is missing from the dashboard: - Confirm you're using the correct Discord account. - Verify you have the Manage Server permission. - Refresh the Servers page. - Sign out and sign back in. HalloweenBot Premium gives your Discord server access to additional features, increased limits, and enhanced customisation options. Premium subscriptions and billing are managed through the SeasonalBots website. Before you can purchase or manage Premium for your HalloweenBot servers, you must first link your HalloweenBot account with SeasonalBots. Once linked, your eligible Discord servers are automatically synced with SeasonalBots every 15 minutes. How HalloweenBot Premium Works HalloweenBot Premium uses both the SeasonalBots website and the HalloweenBot Dashboard. The process works like this: 1. Link your HalloweenBot account with SeasonalBots. 2. Your HalloweenBot servers are synced with SeasonalBots. 3. Select a server and purchase or manage Premium through the SeasonalBots website. 4. SeasonalBots activates Premium for the selected server. 5. Your Premium status is pushed to HalloweenBot. 6. Premium features become available to configure through the HalloweenBot Dashboard. Premium subscriptions and billing are managed through SeasonalBots. Premium feature configuration is managed through the HalloweenBot Dashboard. Link Your HalloweenBot Account Before SeasonalBots can manage Premium for your HalloweenBot servers, you need to link your accounts. Open the HalloweenBot Account Settings and sign in with your Discord account if required. From the account page, find the option to link your HalloweenBot account with SeasonalBots. Follow the instructions shown to complete the linking process. Once successfully linked, SeasonalBots will be able to sync the HalloweenBot servers associated with your account. Server Synchronisation After linking your HalloweenBot account with SeasonalBots, your eligible servers will be automatically synced. Server synchronisation runs approximately every 15 minutes. This allows SeasonalBots to identify the HalloweenBot servers associated with your linked account and make them available when managing Premium. If you have recently: - Linked your account - Added HalloweenBot to a new server - Gained access to manage a server - Changed your server permissions you may need to wait for the next synchronisation before the server appears on SeasonalBots. Server changes may take up to 15 minutes to appear due to the synchronisation schedule. Managing Your Premium Subscription All HalloweenBot Premium subscriptions and billing are managed through the SeasonalBots website. From SeasonalBots, you can manage Premium for your linked HalloweenBot servers. This includes purchasing Premium and managing your active subscription. Premium is linked to the Discord server selected during the Premium setup process. If you manage multiple Discord servers, Premium will only apply to the servers with an active Premium subscription. Premium Activation Once Premium has been activated for your server through SeasonalBots, the Premium status is pushed to HalloweenBot. The HalloweenBot Dashboard will then recognise the server as having an active Premium subscription. Once this happens, Premium features available to your server will become accessible through the HalloweenBot Dashboard. Configure Premium Features After your Premium status has been activated, open the HalloweenBot Dashboard. To configure your Premium features: 1. Sign in with your Discord account. 2. Open Servers. 3. Find your Premium server. 4. Click Manage. 5. Open the feature you want to configure. 6. Configure the available Premium options. 7. Save your changes. Premium-only options will be available when HalloweenBot detects an active Premium subscription for the selected server. Premium Features Depending on your Premium plan, your server may receive access to additional features such as: - Custom daily countdown embeds - Daily countdown webhooks - Custom welcome and farewell embeds - Increased custom command limits - Advanced moderation features - Analytics - Priority support - Beta features - Additional customisation options Available Premium features and limits may depend on your selected Premium plan. Premium Not Showing on SeasonalBots If your HalloweenBot server does not appear when trying to manage Premium through SeasonalBots, check the following: - Make sure your HalloweenBot account is linked with SeasonalBots. - Make sure you are signed in with the correct Discord account. - Make sure you have permission to manage the Discord server. - Confirm that HalloweenBot is installed on the server. - Wait up to 15 minutes for the next server synchronisation. If you have only recently linked your account, your servers may not appear immediately. Premium Not Showing in HalloweenBot If you have purchased Premium through SeasonalBots but the HalloweenBot Dashboard does not recognise your server as Premium, try the following: - Confirm that Premium is active for the correct Discord server. - Refresh the HalloweenBot Dashboard. - Sign out and sign back in. - Make sure you are managing the correct server. - Allow a short amount of time for the Premium status to update. If Premium still does not appear, contact SeasonalBots Support. Managing Billing All billing for HalloweenBot Premium is handled through SeasonalBots. You should use the SeasonalBots website to manage your Premium subscription and billing information. The HalloweenBot Dashboard does not directly manage Premium payments or billing. You should never need to provide payment card information directly to HalloweenBot or through Discord. Cancelling Premium Premium subscriptions should be managed through the SeasonalBots website. If you cancel your subscription, your Premium access will normally remain active until the end of your current billing period. Once your Premium subscription expires, HalloweenBot will no longer provide access to Premium-only functionality for that server. Existing Premium configuration may be retained, but an active Premium subscription will be required to use Premium features. Need Help? If you experience problems linking your account, syncing your servers, purchasing Premium, or activating Premium features, contact SeasonalBots Support. When contacting support, include: - The Discord server affected - Whether your HalloweenBot account is linked with SeasonalBots - Whether the server appears on SeasonalBots - Whether Premium appears as active - A description of the issue Do not include payment card details or other sensitive payment information in your support request. Next Steps If you have not already linked your accounts, visit the HalloweenBot Account Settings and link your HalloweenBot account with SeasonalBots. Once linked, allow up to 15 minutes for your servers to sync. You can then manage your HalloweenBot Premium subscription through SeasonalBots. Once Premium is active, return to the HalloweenBot Dashboard to configure your new Premium features.
👻 HalloweenBotLanguage Settings
HalloweenBot supports multiple languages, allowing you to choose the language that best suits your Discord community. Your server's language can be configured through the HalloweenBot Dashboard. Supported Languages HalloweenBot currently supports the following languages: | Language | Locale | | --- | --- | | 🇬🇧 English | en-GB | | 🇪🇸 Spanish | es-ES | | 🇫🇷 French | fr-FR | | 🇩🇪 German | de-DE | | 🇳🇱 Dutch | nl | English is the default language used by HalloweenBot. Changing Your Server Language To change the language used by HalloweenBot: 1. Open the HalloweenBot Dashboard. 2. Sign in with your Discord account. 3. Select Servers from the sidebar. 4. Find the Discord server you want to configure. 5. Click Manage. 6. Open the language settings. 7. Select your preferred language. 8. Save your changes. Once saved, HalloweenBot will begin using the selected language for supported messages and responses in your server. What Does the Language Setting Change? The language setting controls the language HalloweenBot uses when sending supported messages and responses. This may include: - Bot responses - Command responses - Error messages - Informational messages - Seasonal messages - Event-related messages Some user-configurable content, such as custom welcome messages or custom commands, will continue to use the text that you have configured. Changing the Language Again You can change your server's language at any time through the HalloweenBot Dashboard. Simply return to your server's language settings, select a different language, and save your changes. The new language will be used for future supported messages. Translation Availability HalloweenBot is continuously updated, and new messages or features may occasionally be added before translations are available for every supported language. If a translation is unavailable, HalloweenBot may fall back to English for that particular message. Found a Translation Issue? If you notice an incorrect, missing, or unclear translation, please report it to SeasonalBots Support. When reporting a translation issue, include: - The language you are using. - The message containing the issue. - Where the message appeared. - What you believe the correct translation should be. This helps us identify and correct translation issues more quickly. Next Steps Once your preferred language has been selected, you can continue configuring HalloweenBot's other features through the HalloweenBot Dashboard.

Invite HalloweenBot You can invite HalloweenBot directly using the official Discord invite link: Invite HalloweenBot You will be redirected to Discord, where you can choose which server you want to add HalloweenBot to. HalloweenBot Dashboard server list Select Your Server On the Discord authorisation page, use the Add to Server dropdown to select the Discord server where you want to install HalloweenBot. You must have sufficient permissions on the selected server to add applications. Once you have selected your server, click Continue. Review Permissions Discord will display the permissions requested by HalloweenBot. These permissions allow HalloweenBot to provide its features correctly, including sending messages, displaying embeds, accessing configured channels, and managing roles where required. Review the requested permissions and click Authorize. You may also need to complete Discord's CAPTCHA verification before HalloweenBot is added to your server. Check HalloweenBot Has Joined Once authorised, HalloweenBot should appear in your Discord server's member list. You can also confirm that HalloweenBot has been installed by visiting the HalloweenBot Dashboard. Sign in with your Discord account and open the Servers page. Servers where you have Manage Server permission will appear in the list. If HalloweenBot is installed, the server will show Bot Installed and a Manage button. HalloweenBot installed server Select Manage to open the server's configuration page. Configure HalloweenBot Most HalloweenBot settings are managed through the HalloweenBot Dashboard. After adding the bot: 1. Open the HalloweenBot Dashboard. 2. Sign in with your Discord account. 3. Select Servers. 4. Find the server you want to configure. 5. Click Manage. 6. Configure the features you want to use. Depending on the features you enable, HalloweenBot may require additional channel or role permissions. Bot Not Appearing in the Dashboard If you have invited HalloweenBot but your server does not appear in the dashboard, check the following: - Make sure you are signed in with the correct Discord account. - Make sure your Discord account has Manage Server permission. - Confirm that HalloweenBot is still a member of the server. - Refresh the Servers page in the HalloweenBot Dashboard. - Check that Discord is not currently experiencing an outage. If your server still does not appear, contact SeasonalBots Support. Missing Permissions HalloweenBot may be installed successfully but still be unable to use certain features if it does not have the required permissions. Check HalloweenBot's role in your Discord server and make sure it has access to the channels where you want it to operate. Some features may require permissions such as: - View Channels - Send Messages - Embed Links - Attach Files - Read Message History - Manage Roles HalloweenBot's role must be positioned above any roles that you want the bot to manage. Only grant permissions that are required for the features you plan to use. Removing HalloweenBot You can remove HalloweenBot at any time by kicking it from your Discord server. Removing the bot will prevent it from operating in your server. Some saved configuration may remain associated with your server so that your settings can be restored if HalloweenBot is added again in the future.
